Our sweet photoshoot!

I have a friend here who is a photographer. A long time ago I cut her hair and we decided we would trade for pictures. Since she is leaving in July I decided to go ahead and use that opportunity to do a mommy and me photoshoot with Morgan, and what better timing with Mothers Day being this week. To be honest, I almost backed out because I was too stressed planning what we were going to wear, where we were going to do it, what time would be a good time during the day for Morgan, what props,if any, would we use??....blah blah blah. The week of Mothers day got here and I finally decided okay, we need to get this done. So Sunday night we decided we would do them Monday morning. Monday morning it was pouring rain. So I kind of just planned that we wouldnt get them done because the timing wasnt right.  During Morgans nap Monday afternoon the sun came out and the sky was carolina blue. I texted my friend (still not motivated to do it....kind of hoping she would say no) she was all for it. So in about 30 minutes I had to try on my outfits, curl my hair, do my make up, paint my toes and figure out what props, if any we were going to use. Dont forget sunscreen! what if Morgan wakes up with bedhead?? towels (it might be muddy), entertainment (she might be cranky), snacks...water...DINNER? oh man. I was a mess running around here at 330 planning for a last minute photoshoot where the photographer was going to be here at 4.

3:45 got here, everything was in the car. Morgan slept a whole extra hour, so I woke her up and told her what was about to go down. I put her dress on (that got her excited.) Put her headband on. Got her shoes on and put her in the car. On the way there we talked about how we were going to have Mrs. Sara take our pictures while we played together. She was really excited but in my head I still wasnt sure how this would pan out. We followed Sara to the first place to take some pictures. We got out and walked to the bridge. At that time Morgan grabbed my hand and walked down to the bridge with me and I knew everything was going to be good. It was perfect. She must have known that in the end I was going to appreciate these pictures more than anything in this world. I have never been such a mush. The whole time we were doing our shoot Morgan never left my side. Excuse me while I brag, she was absolutely perfect, it could not have gone better. She was hugging me, kissing me, holding my hand, sitting in my lap, playing with my hair...just how I imagine our perfect "mommy and me" pictures would be.

I will never, ever forget that special day with my sweet girl.

I am so thankful for such a healthy, beautiful, fun, loving daughter.
She is our whole world.
