Get in a groove...

I've got to get in a groove with this blog. I feel like I dont have enough to blog about so I wait, then I have waaay too much at one time. So much has gone on since the last post. I'd say the biggest most exciting news is that Lindsay (Erics cousin) found out and revealed to everyone that the triplets are all girls!!! I am SO excited! Their names will be Harper Shell, Bristol Lee and Sophie Jane. Love them already, the cousins and her sister are planning the shower now :) Since the last blog we have registered our sweet girl for pre-school! (gasp) She is on the waiting list for River Hills Community Church in Lake Wylie. I toured the preschool twice (haha, maybe i'm a crazy mom.) But the second time I got a really good feeling about it and I'm praying hard that God will have his way with this. If she is supposed to be in River Hills then I pray they find her a spot. If not, maybe we will find another church....maybe she will stay with momma another year ;) Just kidding. I have a good feeling about it. I sat with the director for a long time (really, I was wondering if I was staying too long, but she was awesome and so welcoming) and she feels really good about getting enough kids to have another 2 year old class. They need 3 more and have until May. We shall see!! Amy and Anthony got engaged! They are having a destination wedding to Punta Cana next June and have asked us to join, Anthony asked Eric to be a groomsmen and Amy asked me to do the bridal parties hair! Umm yes...sign me up! Fingers crossed that works out, how fun would that be?? I've joined a softball team, its a team full of girls i've played with my whole life plus some girl friends we grew up with. We will be playing on Sundays in Tega Cay. I'm really excited for that to start! Erics schedule has been crazy lately, hes been home a good bit, which we all love! But I know he would like to be busier too. I'm hoping that picks up soon. (It will) Okay I'll start with pictures now, since I know thats what you are all here for ;)

Morgan LOVES salsa. She is on a salsa and hummus kick right now. She doesnt eat the chips just scoops full of salsa. Thats my girl!

We took Morgan to her first circus. We had fun as a family but the circus didnt keep her attention as much as i thought it would. Maybe next year :)

Robert and Daisy had some friends over for the Super Bowl so Eric and I got to go! We had fun, even though the game wasnt ;)

Morgan wore a side pony french braid!

Morgan LOVES the Library, so I surprised her with a trip to the library this day. We got there a little early so we were sitting in the car for a little bit.

They have these awesome puzzles where you drag the shapes with a magnet and put them where you go, Morgan is just pure genius. ;) She loves it.

My cousin had a birthday party for his son in Concord one night so we all headed up there for the party!

Morgan had a REALLY big bubble bath one night!
I love this picture of her!

Kelly and the kids came in town for a couple nights. The first night they came to our house with Frank and Linda. We all played and had dinner here before they headed home.

The next day Linda and Colin met Morgan and I at Chick fil a for lunch and play. Colin was so good with Morgan in the play place. She was really skiddish that day. So Colin held her hand and took her all the way up. Sweet boy!

Both of these kids love books...trying to get them to look at our cameras and smile with books in their hands was impossible!

Morgan gets her first stomach bug...

48 hours later Eric and I get it and its terrible. We were both so violently sick we had to call Frank and Linda to come get Morgan, 12 hours later Charlotte gets hit with a HUGE snow storm.  So Morgan got snowed in, sick at Frank and Lindas. While Eric and I were snowed in, sick at home. It was so so hard for me to be away from her. I missed her so much. She was exactly where she needed to be. They took such good care of her and Eric and I were able to get better fast! Two days later (in the snow and ice) we went and got Morgan!!

The next morning was Valentines Day and it was THE BEST valentines day I've ever had! It was so fun to be snowed in (i hate snow) with my two valentines.

Biscuit and Macy both went sledding too!
Morgans favorite thing to do was eat the snow balls Daddy made her.

We also baked pink cookies
 and painted

That Saturday night we celebrated Valentines day with Robert, Daisy and Jillian at a Japanese steakhouse.
The girls did really good. They both want to be held during the big fire but loved when he was cooking. He played tricks on both girls...it was a good time!

We went to Ikea with Mimi and Sissy.
(My favorite store right now) Mimi spent some time playing with Morgan!
They were watching kids climb through a tunnel.

We got to babysit Jillian again on Monday, she is so much fun to have!
Storytime at the library...they were both really shy. School was out that day and it was really crowded!

Anthonys birthday was yesterday. We all went out to Olive Garden to celebrate!
(Its so good to be home)

Thats all folks!

Videos

I take a lot of videos of Morgan on my phone, which has poor quality. Last night I unpacked my real video camera and I'm charging it now ;) Here are some of her latest and greatest.

We went to Plaza Fiesta (a huge play place for kids) two weeks ago. We have been 3 times now, this time Morgan started sliding by herself. We go to Chickfila and she loves the play place but will not go down the slide...this is a big step for her. Eric and I were so proud watching her do this over and over again.

Morgan and I are big Ellen fans. At the end of every show there is an ad of Ellen saying "Anyways" and she crosses her legs. Randomly Morgan started doing this. Its so cute when she picks up on things and randomly performs :)

Eric and Morgan playing

Morgan has learned how to write a "M" and an "O".

Last but not least, my favorite, Morgan has learned how to spell her name. Thank you for the tip on how to teach her Aunt Katharine! It's been fun!

We have a home...

...and we love it! It took us no time to settle in here. I am so thankful for the whole process, I learned so much from building our house. So much, like things only men know :) duct work, how far apart the support beams are in your walls, interest rates (Zzz), warranties, nail pops, the list is endless!  A couple people told me that building a house is the hardest thing a couple can go through....my first thought was "whoever said that hasn't been through a deployment pregnant" my second thought, "I'm not scared" Let me tell you...we kick that statistic in the face! We didn't argue until it was time to decide where the bed was going to go in our bedroom. Seriously. We did. So funny now. Building this house has been so fun for me and such a blessing for us. I love it. As for our little Morgan...SHE IS OBSESSED with the "new house" Saying she loves it is an understatement. The girl is so happy, excited, giggly, peaceful..all day. She loves it here. The first time I went to run an errand after we moved in, I got her dressed to come with me, we were about to walk out the door and she started crying "I don't wanna leave the new house!!" It would've been a meltdown if Eric wasn't here for her to stay home. It makes me so happy. I worried about the adjustment, but she just eased right into it with no problem! She loves her room. She LOVES her playroom! My biggest fear about us moving in was the stairs. Morgan has never lived in a house with stairs and whenever we stayed with my mom we would always carry her up and down them. Well we've been here almost two weeks now and Miss Independent can go up and down the stairs all by herself. It started off she would just crawl up the stairs and whenever she was ready to come down she would let us know and we would come hold her hand. Then it switched to her coming down on her belly and tonight for the first time she walked down holding onto the rail (with me beside her) Don't worry Grandmas and Aunts...she still has to tell us when she is ready to come down. Macy and Biscuit have adjusted great too, they don't really go upstairs without us (they haven't lived with stairs before either.) We are getting our fence installed very soon...they will love to have a yard to run in again. So will we ;) Eric is enjoying his new job. The hours are pretty random but I guess we are used to that and are adjusting pretty good. I am doing a lot of hair, hoping to build more of a clientele out in the Clover area...so far, so good.

Here are some pictures since we have been in the house...in no particular order.

Elmo joined Morgan for breakfast one morning.

There is a lot of construction going on in our neighborhood, which means TRACTORS!!! One day we went on a walk just to watch these tractors. She loved them!

Morgan got to watch tv while she was eating breakfast until we got our table...now that we have a table, no tv. Dont worry, she doesnt mind...she loves the table Pepaw made us!

One morning I was doing laundry in our room, Morgan brought in a couple books, I asked her if she wanted to lay in bed and read her books, she did. I put her up there and she started reading... I was walking around singing while she was doing this. About 5 minutes later I was in the laundry room singing and she yelled out "Please be quiet now, I'm reading my Bible!" Yes. Maam.

She loves the "mirror" in her new bath tub.

Anthony and Amy came over for dinner one night, Morgan was showing Anthony how to play a game on her tablet. She loves them!

Jordan and Layla came over to play one day...the girls did not want their picture taken. I had to beg.

Eric and I celebrated our 4th anniversary. It was such a great day. He is such a great husband.

Our fairy princess loves her dogs.

Morgan isnt really interested in the potty anymore but every now and them will tell me she needs to go.

This is after playing in a play place for an hour, but she was rocking a french braid side pony!

Sliding by herself. This is a HUGE deal for hear!

Morgan makes smoothies for breakfast every morning. She very well may be addicted.

Playing in her playroom before bed

Watching the Panthers. So sad they lost.

Roberts girlfriends daughter came to spend the day with us. She is so sweet and the sweetest friend to Morgan.

We walked to the park in our neighborhood, this is Morgans favorite thing to do. She goes so fast on this frog!

Now that we are getting settled here, hopefully I'll be able to post more blog post!! Stay tuned :)
